ABOUT
My name is Malin, and I am an full-time translator from English and Spanish to Swedish, and I work as an independent translator as well as a supplier to translation agencies. My home is in Uppsala, north of Stockholm, in Sweden.
Areas
I offer quality translations of technical manuals, medical technical manuals and medical documentation, as well as software and websites. I have also occasionally translated non-fiction books and children’s books.
Experience
I have been running my business Skillby Språktjänst full-time since 2005. Prior to that, I worked at a translation agency. I have a Master’s degree in Translation Studies from Stockholm University, a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Uppsala University and I have diplomas from short, introductional university courses in law and medicine from the universities of Leon in Spain and Uppsala in Sweden.
Professional organisations
For professional developement and continous learning, I am a full member of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ) and the translator organisation Översättarcentrum. For co-work and mutual support, I am a member of the Oktagon Translator Team, which is a cooperation between myself and several translator colleagues.

The CAT tools that I use are SDL Trados Studio 2021 and memoQ translator pro 9.
