There’s a first time for everything, and I have just received my first Lending Based Remuneration for translators, which is a compensation from the Swedish Authors’ Fund for the loans of the library books that I have translated, and I’m so happy about it.
Last weekend it was time for the annual conference of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators, this time in Jönköping, Sweden, on the theme “Pride and entrepreneurship”.
This year we aimed to strengthen each others entrepreneurship. We had a great time, learned a lot about marketing, planning and priorities.
On the 16th of November 2013, the Swedish Association of Professional Translators arranged mini-conferences all around Sweden. I participated in the one in Uppsala, hosted by Alcuin Translations. The topic was “The computerised translator” and we discussed many computer related topics. Thank you to the SFOE and Alcuin!
Yesterday I met with some other translators to enjoy ourselves and share experiences.
